In the process of analyzing data that examines how affect, propensity to trust and other individual difference variables influence trust in humans and trust in machines. ·         Adverse Impact in College Admissions: Working with Anna Imus, Dr. Oswald and Dr Schmitt on examining a criterion-based approach to reducing adverse impact in college admission selection decisions.(First Author – Revise and Resubmit at Applied Measurement of Education Journal)

·         Personality and Cognitive Ability Predictors of Counterproductive Behaviors: Working with Dr. F. Oswald. (First Author: Data Analysis and Writing Stage)

Teaching Experience as a Teaching Assistant

 

2002- 2004: During my Masters program at Delhi University

·         Assisted Dr. Anand Prakash in teaching an introductory course in Organizational Behaviour, Psychological Testing and Change Management for management school students and other target groups like, NATRASS, HR conferences, etc.

·         Assisted Dr.Girishwar Misra (Professor of Applied Social Psychology, Department of Psychology, University of Delhi) as a teacher’s assistant in designing and delivering an introductory module on Social Psychology.

·         Designed and delivered a workshop on Negotiation skills as classroom assignment.

·         Developed and assisted in delivery of a training module on counseling skills for SOS counselors and staff members. Involved in facilitation of role-plays, observing, debriefing and giving feedback to all participants.

 

 

Research Experience as a Research Assistant

 

2006 – 2008      With Dr. Schmitt and Dr. Oswald (Michigan State University)

·         Working on the College Board Project – Collecting reactions data on the non-cognitive measures of student potential from multiple stakeholders like high school counselors, high school student, parents of high school students and admission officers.

 

2005 – 2006      With Dr. Daniel Ilgen, PhD (Michigan State University)

·         Designed and collected data on a study that examines the development of trust in humans and trust in machines.

 

2002- 2004        With Dr. Anand Prakash, PhD (University of Delhi)

·         Assisted in research and validation of “Capacity Model” for an HR consultancy firm-“Grow Talent India Limited.” Entailed analyzing data from assessment centers and doing a factor analysis to ascertain the dimensions being covered.

·         Change Management (Hindi translation: Parivartan) project for GAIL India: Assisted in background research and identifying appropriate strategies for preparing change agents.

·         Research & development of background material and training manual, for a Change Management workshop at “National Academy of Training and Research in Social Securities.” (NATRASS).

 Pizza Hut –Worked as an intern in the Human Resources department of Pizza Hut, for one year (2 days a week, as permitted by my Master’s curriculum).

Consulting Experience

 

Jan 2006–Sept 2006

 

Worked with Kevin Ford on a consulting project with the Lansing Diocesan. Assisted in conducting interviews, transcribing and qualitatively analyzing interview data and developing the training program. I also facilitated group tasks during the one day training program.

June 2004–June 2005

 

Worked as a researcher cum consultant with MANTRANA INDIA

A Delhi based Human Resource Consultancy Firm.

Projects Involved in:

§         Designing an Organizational Priority Survey.

§         Developing a personality tool for recruiting Call Centre Executives in the BPO sector.

§         Designing the course content for various skill training programs, like Assertiveness Skill, Interpersonal & Communication Skills, Leadership and Coaching Skills Team Building Skills and Psychometric Testing amongst others.

§         Currently working as a research associate on a long-term Organizational Development project involving system improvement and skill up gradation for support staff (counsellors) at an SOS village.

Volunteer Experience

 

June 1999    -  July  2002

 

Part-time: Worked with VISIONS WORLDWIDE (Delhi, India); a non-profit student run NGO, which focuses on HIV/AIDS awareness and other sexuality issues. It has four chapters in India, as well as international chapters in universities in the U.S. like Harvard, Yale, Michigan etc. I was the Chairperson of the Delhi Chapter. I had been working on a part time basis all along my bachelor studies, however I was actively involved after finishing my bachelor’s for a month.

Activities involved in:

§         Interaction and collaboration between Delhi chapters and US chapters.

§         Recruitment, Goal setting, Developing Training material, Designing Workshops, Conducting Surveys, NGO Collaboration and Media Management. 

§          Organised and conducted street-plays on HIV/AIDS awareness at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade campus and other public places)
